Dear Kundapur Govardhana Kini, |
The Joy of Giving Week is a platform for citizens like us to reach out to those who are less privileged. The joy of giving is not just about a donation but it's about the joy of knowing that one has helped a fellow Indian transform his life. |
Let us tell you one such story about Ranjit, a resident of Manoharpur, Kacchuahara village near Patna, who suffers from a physical disability. Though he was willing to work hard and earn his livelihood, his handicap made finding a job difficult. He needed vocational training to support his 3 member family but was unable to afford the cost of the course. |
When the NGO ADD (Action for Development of Demos) learnt about Ranjit's plight, they invited him to join a course on Tailoring & Design of Readymade Garments. The course fee of Rs. 800/-, was funded by a donor just like you. |
After completing the course, Ranjit started his own tailoring business and is today supporting his family with dignity. There are many others, just like him, who are striving for a better life and you can help them with just one simple conscious act of giving. |
We urge you to participate in the Joy of Giving Week and bring cheer to someone's life. Visit www.GiveIndia.org and donate for a cause of your choice out of the 200+ charities registered with us. |
Regards, |
